About us
Little Acorns is a registered preschool and aftercare centre with a garden, a vegetable patch and a shaded sandpit. Classes are grouped by age with a trained teacher and an assistant in each, and we follow a play-based programme that gets children ready for grade R. Aftercare runs until half past five.
Our story
Carla opened Little Acorns in 2013 with eight children in her own home. The school moved to its own premises in 2017 and now has sixty.
Why choose us
Small classes, a real garden and a teacher who knows your child's grandmother's name.

School readiness is not reading
A ready child can hold a pencil, wait a turn, follow two instructions and ask for help. Reading comes later and comes easily to a child who can do those four. That is what our days are built around.
